Game=Fantastic; Parking DIrections Sucked!
I was thrilled to have been there and been a part of history, despite the Sharks losing the Stadium Series game, which was fantastic.
The negative to the entire evening was that there was absolutely NO directions to the various parking lots. Good thing I pre-paid my $50.00 parking online for Green Lot 1 (which is a RIDICULOUS amount of money for parking, by the way) and allowed plenty of time to arrive in Santa Clara from the East Bay. Driving straight did nothing but take us WAY out of the way, so we started driving around the area on side streets in hopes of finding where we needed to be. I had never been to the Stadium before, roads that looked like would take you directly to the stadium were blocked off, and we were eventually just told to "keep driving straight and you'll run into Green Lot 1". We eventually stumbled on the employee parking lots, followed by parking Lot Green 4! They ended up letting us park there at the College after they told us that Parking Lot Green 1 was full, and we had to walk blocks and blocks to get back to the entrance of the stadium.
On arriving, THAT'S when we saw the main parking entrance to the various lots, and where we were suppose to be. The experience left such a bad taste in our mouths, it's unlikely we'll come to any other events there because it's too big of a hassle. Walking across the parking lot to the stadium, we saw LOADS of empty parking spaces. VERY frustrating!
One other issue I had - I tried to purchase tickets online in several locations near center ice, but because there were 3 seats together and I only needed 2 seats, I wasn't able to purchase them and ended up on the far end of the ice with many blind spots.
